Dr. Daehnick's Research

The Research Program of W. W. Daehnick's Group

Increasingly unusual direct transfer reactions were a theme of this group's research over a long period, as described in the link A below. Link B provides some theoretical background, in particular an introduction to the idea of spectroscopic factors. Link C describes how Daehnick used the results of direct one-nucleon transfer reactions (energies and spectroscopic factors) to obtain matrix elements of the effective interaction between nucleons.
