The Modern Physics Lab gives students the opportunity to complete more advanced experiments covering a wide range of topics. Experiments in this lab deal with acoustics, electronics, particle physics and other topics. Students have a choice of which experiments to complete, allowing them to pursue their own interests. Several of the experiments in this lab are Nobel Prize winning experiments. Experiments currently used in this lab are Mössbauer Spectroscopy, Chaos, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Electronic Noise, Acoustical Cavity, Acoustical Thermometer, Gamma-Gamma Decay, and Muon Lifetime Observation. |
