Our research programs focus on Early Universe Cosmology and on the Quark Gluon Plasma and Chiral Phase Transitions to be experimentally probed at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN.

In both programs the thrust is on a description of physics strongly out of equilibrium in extreme environments of temperature and density.

This avenue of research is truly interdisciplinary, merging Quantum Field Theory and High Energy Particle Physics with Cosmology and Statistical Physics.
