To head things off, no this is not a pretty site. Perhaps it will get better later. Remember - content is the key. OK, well, there isn't much content here either.

This map may help. It's the red building.
I'm a research assistant with Prof. Andy Connolly's group. More specifically, I've been working on large scale astro statistics using survey databases (SDSS and NVO type things for acronym soup). Basically working on various projects to constrain cosmology and understand large scale clustering and galaxy evolution.
Previously, I've been a TA for the following courses:
Occasionally, I also conduct personal tutoring. In general, I don't think this is often necessary. There are a lot of resources available to students (resource room, office hours, recitations and personal meetings with respective instructors and TAs). Make sure you exhaust these resources before spending your money. Also, tutoring is not cheap and in the pittsburgh area it seems to cost about $20-$30 per hour at a minimum.
From what I understand, a large number of people seeking tutoring have difficulties with good study habits and not direct problems with the course material. Naturally, the former often leads to the latter (misconceptions in the material due to insufficient studying). Study habits are slow to change, and are more integrated with our personalities than we'd like to admit. Don't take it personally, but be honest with yourself about the situation. Tutors can help with this, thats why you are paying them - but it's also why you have to start early.
That said (and hopefully understood), if you want to be tutored (by me or otherwise), you should understand the following:
If you have had any contact with me and have an opinion of it, please share it with me - be it good or bad. It's sometimes hard to know how you come across, and any feekback is welcome. (well, I prefer not to have rotten tomatoes slung at my head, so censure appropriately.)
