I lived in Pittsburgh since '82, except for the time between '86-'90, which I spent searching for spiritual enlightenment under the mystics of the midwest at Purdue University's Department of Computer Science.
Upon earning my B.S. in C.S. from this sacred temple, they ushered me out of the cornfields and I returned to Pittsburgh to take a position as systems administrator at the School of Information Science (SIS) at the University of Pittsburgh. However, I left that position a while ago, so if you are experiencing any problems with the SIS computers, they almost certainly can't be my fault by now.
From '93-2000 I earned my Masters and Ph.D. with the Astronomy/Astrophysics Group at Pitt's Department of Physics and Astronomy, where my research concerned the winds of massive stars.
Currently, I have a post-doctoral position at the Center for Physics and Astronomy at The Johns Hopkins University, where I research central stars of planetary nebulae (CSPN) as well as hot massive stars.
