Abstract

Designing a Wood Cladding Window Frame

One may thing that a window is a very simple device. But in reality, a window is a very complicated, mechanical device. It consists of a frame that is fixed within two ore more sashes, flush-mount tilt latches, integral lift rails, and other mechanical components. And one cannot forget the glass which is filled with argon gas to reduce heat transfer. The cross sections of both the frame and sashes are made of vinyl, aluminum, wood or a combination of any of these.
