This project is a continuation of the data analysis support that was begun by myself, AliciA Hardy, and Natasha Collymore. Last year's project was a joint study of CPT violation, searching for the rare neutral kaon decays KL->pipi and K5->pipipi. This year we each have our own projects within the same research/advising group. My goal is to learn more about the coupling of strange quarks and up/down quarks by helping to recheck an old experiment that is used to measure this coupling of quarks. Specifically, I hope to estimate the branching ratio of the rare charged kaon decay, K+->pioe-nuo. The kaon is strange while neither the pion nor the electron is. With my advisors, I will be working with Ntuple number 103, the Ntuple specially of charged kaon decays. The determined branching ratio of this decay is approximately 4.82% and of the 15,000 events stored in Ntuple 102, I expect to find about 700 K+->pioe+nuo decays.
