Jill Schmidt is an undergraduate in physics and mathematics from St. Norbert College, Wisconsin. Jill presented her summer 2001 Pitt REU research at the Sixteenth Annual St. Norbert College Pi Mu Epsilon Regional Undergraduate Mathematics Conference, the Fourth Annual Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics, and the National Conference for Undergraduate Research. In addition, Jill received the Claire Boothe Luce Scholarship in 2001, which will pay for her final two years of undergraduate studies.
