History

2009

The Certificate moves to the College of General Studies.

2008

The first seven students graduate.

2007

The steering committee develops the mission statement and assessable education goals.

2006

The A&S Leadership Certificate is approved. The Senior Leadership Seminar is offered for the first time in the fall term (2071).

2005

The scope is broadened; Dr. Regina Schulte-Ladbeck submits the Leadership Certificate to A&S Undergraduate Council.

2004

Drs. Joe Grabowski and Regina Schulte-Ladbeck discuss the idea for a Scientific Leadership Certificate.

The Program

In leading our lives, sharing responsibilites in our families, supporting our communities, and building our careers, we must make complex choices.

Welcome to the Leadership Certificate, an undergraduate program which helps you study how humans make choices and enact them in the world. We look forward to meeting you.

Mission Statement

The Leadership Certificate is an interdisciplinary program that educates University of Pittsburgh undergraduate students about and for leadership from a broad scholarly perspective.
