WIYN 3.5m WHIRC Observing Report for 2013/05/23 Summary: We observed 6 supernovae and 2 standard stars. Here is a summary of observations: Name | z | B-Peak | 20130522 2013cs |0.00924 | 20130524 | 09,09,09 2013cb |0.05412 | 20130512 | 25,41,.. 2012cg |0.00145 | 20120401 | 16,25,.. 2013bq | 0.06 | 20130424 | ..,50,.. 2013bt |0.036446| 20130426 | 25,35,.. 2013ck | 0.049 | 20130512 | 34,41,.. S791-E in JHKs at 1.33 and 1.55 airmasses. P330-E at 1.54 airmasses. Observer: Anja Weyant Telescope Operator: Jenny Conditions: wind: 22.8 mph Humidity: 32.8 Temperature: 22.8 C Clear Seeing: 0.7"-0.9" for the first half, 1.2"-1.7" for the second half. Moon: 99% Notes: Images for this night are in the same folder on dust as images for last night. The image numbers start at 270. The rotator was not following the first time I observed S791-C so I redid it. We can probably still use these images although North will be different for each one. This affected images 353-379. Can see 2013cs in raw images. Decided to stop in the middle of 2013bq dither in H to check the focus. We were off by quite a bit (90microns). So the first 7 images (575-581) are a bit out of focus. Restarted the dither from the beginning after refocusing. Wind shake was severe while observing 2013bq. Decided to skip J and observe in H twice as long. Paused dither in the middle of 2013bt and 2013ck to go to nearby bright star and recheck the focus. Seeing was very bad (~1.7").
