WIYN 3.5m WHIRC Observing Report for 2013/10/19 Summary: We observed 3 supernovae, 1 standard star and 1 host galaxy. Here is a summary of observations: Name | z | B-Peak | 20131019 iPTF13dkj |0.03 | 20130920 | 16,9,.. iPTF13dkx |0.03 | 20130926 | ~16,9,.. iPTF13ddg |0.084 | 20130910 | ..,50,.. LSQ12fuk | 0.02 | 20121101 | 50,50,.. P525-E in JHKs at 1.13, 1.24 and 1.51 airmasses. Observer: Anja Weyant Telescope Operator: Doug Williams Conditions: wind: 9.8 mph Humidity: 23.9 Temperature: 17.4 C Seeing: 0.6-0.7 for most of the night but 1" for the last hour Moon: 98% Notes: Anja was sick (but almost better!). Had second half of night. I was not able to to calibrations at the beginning of the night due to some initial startup problems which put us behind. Doug had to run to dinner and we forgot to put the WTTM slide in before he left so could not do flats. Did calibrations in the morning. Lost guiding in the middle of doing iPTF13dkx in J. Probably lost 5 images before we noticed. As a result, ran the 3x3x30" dither on top of the 4x4x20" but the pointing was off by about 20." There are some issue with one of the monitors that the OA is using. Not sure how but it seems to affect Skype. Doug called me from his laptop and things were fine. Took 378 images.
