WIYN 3.5m WHIRC Observing Report for 2013/12/13 Summary: We observed 5 supernovae, 2 standard stars, 2 host galaxies Name | z | B-Peak | 20131213 SN2013fw | 0.01695 | 20131107 | 9, 9, 16 iPTF13ebh | 0.013269 | 20131123 | 9, 9, 9 LSQ13cwp | 0.067 | 20131110 | 41,25 , ... Dave did ~5 minute tests for Charles before starting dithers on most of the supernovae. To observe with WTTM it is necessary to have a star brighter than r=14.5 in the field of view. We were able to use WTTM for all SN targets although we made offsets for some of the targets to get a bright star within range. Here is a list of offsets: 2013fw: 30" S and 30" E *** This was mistyped on the Observing Report from 20131209. iPTF13ebh: 45" W Lost an hour of observing time due to issues with ds9 and pyraf not finding the images to do "imexam" on to focus. Seeing was fluctuating between 0.8-1.2 so I added 9 minutes to iPTF13dge in the J band. Cut the J band in LSQ13crf due to time contraints plus variable seeing. Lost guiding on images 506-508. Stop dither and refind the guide star for WTTM. Took a total of 579 images.
