WIYN 3.5m WHIRC Observing Report for 2014/03/14 Summary: We observed 5 supernova, 1 host galaxy, and 2 standard stars. Name | z | B-Peak | 20140314 CSS130317:082848+293031 | 0.08 | 20130319 | ..., 125, … 2014J | 0.000677 | 20140205 | .5, .5, .5 LSQ14aeg | 0.06 | 20140310 | 16, 25, ... 2014aa | 0.01698 | 20140316 | 9, 9, 9 PS1-14rx | 0.06 | 20140316 | 25, 25, … LSQ14act | 0.06 | 20140308 | ..., 41, ... S791-C in JHKs at 1.4 and 1.2 P212-C in JHKs at 1.4 and 1.01 Observers: Anja Weyant, Kara Ponder Telescope Operator: Dave Summers Conditions: Wind: 3.6 Humidity: 52 Temperature: 12 Seeing: 0.6-1 Moon: 98% Notes: WTTM kept losing the guide star for the host galaxy (and once for 2014J) which cost some time, but we found an effective way to find the guide star again without aborting the dither script. Host galaxy observed 2.5 times as long as observed supernova. Used WTTM on CSS130317:082848+293031, 2014J, LSQ14aeg, LSQ14act. We want to get the standards at different air masses, but I was following a schedule I had made and looked at the wrong HAT and observed two at the same air mass. The seeing got bad (~1.5) around 4:30-5 am MST. Took 594 images.
