WIYN 3.5m WHIRC Observing Report for 2015/04/26 Summary: We observed 5 supernovae and 3 standard stars. Name | z | B-Peak | 20150426 PS15mt | 0.071 | 20150324 | 50,50,.. PS15sv | 0.033 | 20150402 | 34,25,.. ASASSN-15fj | 0.045 | 20150316 | 50,41,.. ASASSN-15fs | 0.02902 | 20150401 | 25,16,.. SN2015G | 0.004750 | 20150401 | 09,09,09 P212-C in JHKs at 1.0 S791-C in JHKs at 1.3, 1.9 P330-E in JHKs at 1.1 Observer: Kara Ponder with Jess Kroboth and Cat Fielder for first few hours Telescope Operator: Karen Butler Conditions: Clear wind: 12 mph Humidity: 49 % Temperature: 5.6 C Seeing: 1.5+, range from 0.9 to 2.8" Moon: 62% Notes: Seeing got to ~2" around 10 pm and stayed high for the rest of the night. We tested out the new pointing camera which takes a picture of the sky and and calculates how off we are from the input RA and Dec. It does okay: one target was correct and one needed ~30" shift. Dust was running out of disk space which gave a warning every time a frame read out. I deleted 6 nights of our observations that I had confirmed that we had data for. Karen emailed Dick and it was sorted out the next day. We used WTTM on PS15mt (dropped after a few dithers and switched to regular guiding) and SN2015G. Seeing was too high to use it except for very bright guide stars. We took 531 images.
