WIYN 3.5m WHIRC Observing Report for 2016/04/26 Summary: We observed 2 host galaxies and 1 standard star. Name | z | B-Peak | 20160426 PS1-14rx | 0.06 | 20140316 | 75,100,.. ASASSN-15fj | 0.045 | 20150316 | 100,..,.. P330-E in JHKs at 1.8, 1.2 Observer: Kara Ponder Telescope Operator: Christian Soto, Amy Robertson Conditions: Cirrus early. Clear most of the night wind: 4.3 mph Humidity: 43.1 % Temperature: 7.1 C Seeing: 0.6-0.7" Moon: 77 % Notes: This night was originally scheduled for 2016/04/29 but was moved to 2016/04/26 to assist other observers that were weathered out on their nights. Unfortunately, this night was a prescheduled T&E night and they were not able to finish testing the night before. We lost 2 hours to T&E with ODI and the pointing camera. Amy Robertson is a new OA that is being trained on WIYN. Unable to use WTTM. Lost around 20 minutes when trying to observe a standard star that was at zenith. (~5-10 minutes moving and setting up, ~10 minutes trying to observe) Most of the first dither script for ASASSN-15fj was in "acquire" exposure type instead of "observe". There was also a weird background pattern on the images ~324-327. I alerted the OAs and they noted it in their logs so someone could look into it. We took 408 images.
