WIYN 3.5m WHIRC Observing Report for 2017/03/19 Summary: We observed 2 host galaxies and 4 standard stars. Name | z | B-Peak | 20170319 LSQ14xi | 0.05 | 20140306 | 125,..,.. ASASSN-15fs | 0.02902 | 20150401 | ..,..,50 S791-C in JHKs at 1.4, 1.55 T868-53850 in JHKs at 1.2, 1.37 P330-E in JHKs at 1.0 P041-C in JHKs at 1.3 Prop-ID: 17A-0163 Observer: Kara Ponder Telescope Operator: Anthony Paat Conditions: Mostly clear, a few clouds to the East wind: 6.3 mph Humidity: 23 % Temperature: 17.9 C Seeing: 0.6” Moon: 53% Notes: This was a second half night with hand over around 11:45 pm MST. This was not an originally assigned night, but one that became available in February and offered to us. We took 448 images (including calibration). Note from Dick Joyce: […] the barometric pressure sensor at WIYN is misbehaving at times, so the resultant precipitable water vapor values will be jumping around. Some of the values will be valid (when the barometric pressure values are around 800 mb), but some will be way high when the reported barometric pressure drops suddenly.[…] Fortunately from ~ 2300 hr to 0500 hr last night there seem to be only two barometric pressure values which are a little low, so hopefully that was during the time period when you were observing.
