Research Interests
I am interested in condensed matter theory as
well as its crossover to atomic-molecular-optical and particle/nuclear physics.
Areas of particular interest:
Ultracold atomic
gases, strongly correlated quantum
matter (such as high temperature superconductors, transition-metal
oxides, correlated atoms in optical lattices, etc.), quantum phase
transition, broken symmetries, topological defects, and effective field
theory.
Topics currently under study:

Novel quantum phases of spin imbalanced
(polarized) Fermi gases.
- Multi-orbital systems such as optical lattice p-orbital
bands.
- Theory of transition-metal oxides.
